Taiwanese smartphone brand HTC and telecom carrier Far EasTone recently entered into a strategic agreement under which they will jointly promote mobile services from current 4.5G to 5G, reported Economic Daily News on March 3. With an aim to expand its share in the 4.5G and 5G telecom service market, Far EasTone is set to boost the subscription base of its telecom service in bundle with HTC's new smartphones under different service packages and preferential rates, according to the same source. By consolidating marketing resources, channel deployments and enterprise management strategies, they strive to together bring some new 5G mobile services and technologies to their customers with improved internet quality and innovative applications.
